EcoCrops International seeks “greedy and driven” salespeople

A job advert posted on the jobs board by EcoCrops International is looking for applications from “greedy and driven professional salespeople”. EcoCrops International launched in 2018 and offers projected returns of 17.19% a year for investing in Estonian forestry.

Position: Sales Professional
EcoCrops International are looking for hard working sales people. We pay a small basic but great commission. No cold calling or face to face selling. The work is office based and would suit greedy and driven professional salespeople that are based in Palma Mal

The advert says that prospective applicants should also have a high school education, and minimal work experience is required. Applications should be English speakers, well educated and computer literate.

“Palma Mal” is shorthand for Palma de Mallorca, a Balearic island just off Spain’s eastern coast.

Readers have accused the director of EcoCrops International, Mark Lewis Rayner, of being a shadow director of GWD Forestry. GWD Forestry was an unregulated scheme investing in Brazilian forestry which collapsed some time around 2015. GWD investors continue to be targeted by fraud recovery fraud.

Most of these claims about Rayner’s shadow directorship are unverifiable. However, what is a matter of public record is that Mark Rayner was the director of a UK firm called Greenwood Marketing Limited from 2009 until it was dissolved in 2011. GWD Forestry used the corporate identity Greenwood Management, a company registered in Denmark.

(The records for the old Greenwood Marketing are no longer available from Companies House due to the length of time that has passed since dissolution, but they are available from some Companies House aggregators. There is an active firm which briefly used the name Greenwood Marketing Limited and is now known as Gill Greenwood Limited. It is apparently unrelated to the dissolved Greenwood Marketing Limited and GWD Forestry.)

Mark Rayner also identifies himself in his LinkedIn profile as an employee of GWD Forestry SL, with his role described simply as “sales”.

GWD Forestry was run out of an office in Palma de Mallorca, just as EcoCrops International is, according to its job advert.

It is therefore a matter of public record that Mark Rayner was involved with GWD Forestry, and has gone on from that to found EcoCrops International.

Apparently they aren’t big on the importance of an ethics-based culture in financial services in Mallorca…

  1. Funnily enough, after publication of this article EcoCrops changed the job advert. At time of writing it reads “hardworking and driven” rather than “greedy and driven”.

A copy of the original advert has been retained.

  2. They will be paying their salesman ten percent commission plus a measly weekly wage. On top of the salesman commissions they will be paying five percent commission to a sales manager. So the minute a gullible and naive investors parts with their investment monies, fifteen percent will be lost straight away. Now, add to this marketing costs and other operational costs and at least half the investors monies are gone. STAY WELL CLEAR OF ANOTHER LOUIS DAULBY now called MARK REYNIER investment scam. The man has been involved in lots of investment scams where every investor has lost their money. Daniel Shaw and Joshua Roberts worked for him in GWD scam and they are working for him again in this latest DAULBY green scam. Boys is it not time you done something honest for a change?

  3. I’m currently working at eco crops and I’m getting 15% comms, I can’t complain, I’m over the moon that Lewis can start up again as to work for he pays.

    Long live ecocrops.

  4. Think about this any potential investor out there – why would you hand your money over to a man Lewis Daulby, now called Mark Reynier who runs the company and/or owns it. A little bit of history on this man – Hamilton Spirit Management Ltd, Barrington Fleming SL, Rutherford Ross Ltd, Greenwood Management – All of these companies went bust, or were closed down by the authorities. Also, this man served prison time for his role in the Hamilton Spirit Management Ltd whisky investment scam.

  5. Dear Potential Investors and Existing Clients, If you wish to find out the role Lewis / Louis Daulby , now Mark Reynier played in the £30,000,000.00 plus Greenwood Management Scam / GWD Forestry Investment scam, which was operated out of Palma Majorca, Spain, where most likely he is operating this extremely risky and highly speculative latest investment offer to gullible investors worldwide, with the exception of investors in both USA and UK, then contact CARLTON HUXLEY who are representing many of the GWD investors who lost all of their money. Please whatever you do and no matter how impressive the ECO CROPS salesman’s pitch is, DO NOT INVEST YOUR MONEY IN THIS COMPANY ……….. SERIOUSLY THE MAIN MAN ABOVE HAS TAKEN MILLIONS OF INVESTORS OVER THE YEARS AND NONE OF THEM MADE A PROFIT, OR FOR THAT MATTER GOT THEIR MONEY BACK. If you conduct thorough DUE DILIGENCE into this company ie do they have existing commercial purchase contracts in place at a set price which supports the percentage profits on offer – request a copy of the salesman’s passport ( many use false names),- request a copy of the salesman’s CV – request a copy of their business plan verified by third party professionals- request a copy of the company’s audited annual accounts going back two years minimum- speak to their accountants / auditors for a reference in writing- request a copy of the directors’ CV’s etc ….. PLEASE PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND DO NOT GET TAKEN IN BY A GLOSSY WEBSITE AND SMOOTH TALKING SALESMEN…….. DO NOT SAY YOU WERE NOT THOROUGHLY WARNED …..

  6. please email me the Name of the policemen and his phone number and his email address whom I can contact in this matter thanks Joe

  7. Joe – firstly we don’t know your email address (and it’s best not to post it online anyway unless you set up a temporary one). Secondly what policeman? The police aren’t interested even when it’s obviously dodgy thanks to the UK’s weak regulatory environment.

  8. Thanks for the update there is a Facebook account called GWD please update us all there too Joe

  9. This type of investment garbage does not have to be regulated by a country’s financial services / regulatory bodies and Louis Daulby / Mark Reynier knows this. However, conspiracy to defraud is a different ball game altogether. For this type of criminal charge to proven, it involves the two D’s – Deceit and Damage. In laymens’ terms this entail lies within the sales pitch and damage to the investors’ funds. Now, most likely Louis Daulby / Mark Reynier is paying his ”gung ho” salesmen anywhere between ten and fifteen percent commissions. Add to this his operating costs fixed and variable and you will clearly ascertain a large percentage of your investment funds are paying for operating costs and not land or biomass trees. People this seriously is another con / scam by a bald headed man who has been at it since the late 1980’s. For gods sake and for the sake of your financial well being, do not blow your hard earned / saved investment funds with this relatively new company, because ultimately it will go down in history as just one more Louis Daulby / Mark Reynier alternative and unregulated investment scam. Please the man named above is heavily involved in this company just like he was with the GWD forestry investment scam which, incidentally was run out of Majorca too.
